Insignia and Hutchison 3G Austria have entered into a content-site partner agreement, which is based on a joint effort to increase usage across the data network. The Insignia DMS technology fully utilizes the standards defined by the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), which enables the platform to send a complete range of parameters to the mobile phone with only one interaction and a single keystroke by the subscriber. This "multi-shot technology" significantly simplifies the process of setting email configuration data on mobile phones. According to Hutchison 3G Austria's Head of Product Marketing, Klaus Muller, "The Insignia DMS platform will reduce customer care cost substantially, and more importantly, it will make the set-up of subscribers' email services, simple, fast and effective." He continued, "Working together under our site partner agreement means that both parties are committed to the long-term development of this configuration service. We found Insignia both responsive to our needs and insightful as to how to add value to our business." "We
are delighted to be working with Hutchison 3G Austria in an effort to
increase utilization and improve the subscriber experience of their
mobile email service. Hutchison 3G Austria has demonstrated leadership
in the deployment of data services through their early adoption of 3rd
generation networks and content. Hutchison 3G Austria's adoption of
DMS is a strong validation and endorsement of Insignia's mobile device
solution and value proposition to global carriers," said Noel Mulkeen,
vice president Sales EMEA of Insignia Solutions. |
