3G Antenna Specialist Pans Out |
20th April , 2004 |
Europe : UK-based miniature antenna specialist, Sarantel, has responded to the growing demand for its innovative GPS, WiFi and 3G products in the Asia/Pacific market by appointing three new distributors. Sarantel now has five distributors in the region, all managed from the company's newly opened office in Singapore. All offer a full design-in, sales and application engineering service, and work with a broad range of customers from government ministries to established OEMs and ODMs. SPK Electronics has been appointed Sarantel's distributor in Taiwan, complimenting the company's direct sales effort, while Hynetic Electronics, headquartered in Bangalore, India, will spearhead expansion into the subcontinent through its seven national sales offices. In China, Sarantel has entered into a distribution partnership with Beijing Rosenberger, the Chinese affiliate of Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik GmbH & Co. of Germany. Sarantel's Chairman, David Dey, commented, "Demand for our specialised GPS antennas is on the rise in Asia and our GeoHelix products continue to be selected as the best choice for tracking, navigation and PDA/handset applications worldwide." Joe Murray, Sarantel's Asia/Pacific President, added, "There's a flurry of new GPS product development here and we're showing how our antenna, with its large beamwidth and the ability to work in close proximity to the human body and other objects, can offer a major competitive advantage. Many products designed and manufactured in this part of the world are destined for America and Europe and so by capturing more business here we also accelerate market momentum in our other major markets." |
