Inset is Björn Krylander, CEO at UbiNetics who is quoted below. Ubinetics are calling HSDPA - 3.5G technology - although this is not widespread knowledge at the current time. HSDPA will enable NTT DoCoMo to significantly enhance the performance of its W-CDMA network by allowing data rates of up to 14.2 Mbps to be achieved. NTT DoCoMo will benefit from UbiNetics' extensive experience providing test and technology solutions for W-CDMA network operators around the world. "Working with NTT DoCoMo to develop test solutions for the industry's most advanced W-CDMA network is a tremendous opportunity for UbiNetics. I expect the knowledge gained from our work on the HSDPA system to translate into further improvements in the test and IP solutions we offer to all our customers," said Björn Krylander, CEO of UbiNetics. About UbiNetics The company's 3G Test Mobile has become the industry de-facto standard for WCDMA infrastructure testing. This, together with the portable TM200 Test Mobile and the LG200 Load Generator, positions UbiNetics at the centre of 3G interoperability testing. UbiNetics also provides the industry's most robust protocol software and physical layer IP portfolio for 3G chipset and handset developers and manufacturers. The company has developed a unique range of creative products for UMTS and GPRS/GSM applications including customised embedded modules and development tools. The company was formed in January 1999 from PA Consulting Group's Wireless Telecommunications Practice. Since 1999, UbiNetics has grown to over 400 employees with activities in the UK (Cambridge and Swindon), the US, Japan, India, Hong Kong and Taiwan. |
