Edge Wireless Takes 3G Mediation Package

USA : Openet Telecom announced that Edge Wireless will deploy FusionWorks Mediation, Openet's convergent mediation platform, to support the rollout of new 2.5G and 3G services to its subscriber base.

Serving the western part of the United States as an affiliate of the AT&T
Wireless Network, Edge Wireless chose FusionWorks Mediation for its ability to
streamline operations and expedite advanced services. FusionWorks Mediation
will enable Edge Wireless to exploit the power of their new GPRS/GSM network,
which will overlay their existing TDMA network.

In the first phase of deployment, FusionWorks Mediation will serve as the
convergent foundation for collecting raw customer usage information from
various GPRS/GSM network elements and delivering aggregated data to Edge
Wireless's legacy operational, business and decision support systems. With
FusionWorks Mediation in place, Edge Wireless will protect its current
investment in network infrastructure, while offering its subscribers valuable
new features such as SMS and web browsing.
