LG is set to market various camera-fitted color phone sets in major global mobile phone markets including China and the United States in the first half of this year. LG Electronics has started supplying first-rate rotational camera-mounted GPRS color phone sets to Italian major communications company Wind; thus penetrating high-class GSM markets with its advanced technology and differentiated designs. The high-tech GPRS camera phone (model: G8000) features high-performance 110,000-pixel camera and 65,000-color TFD-LCD and stores moving images. It is also fitted with 40- poly sound source chip, thereby supporting various multimedia functions. In addition, the dual folder-type ‘G8000’ can transmit data at the speed of 115kbps. It is also equipped with super-large ten-line color LCD; thus enabling the user to display various color multimedia data such as characters and photos. One notable feature of this high-tech product is its camera phone and video camcorder function that enables moving image video clips. “We have recently marketed the third-generation WCDMA device (U8100) that enables communications with moving images. This time, we also exported GPRS camera phone sets to Italy. We expect to establish our reputation in the European market through the camera-equipped color phone with its hi-tech applications that are guaranteed to attract the industry’s attention,” disclosed Yi Ho, LG Electronics Vice President and GSM Overseas Marketing Team Manager. LG Electronics is set to export various camera-equipped color handsets to major global mobile markets including Europe, China, and the United States in the first half of this year. |
