Fujitsu to deliver 3G Content Settlement Solutions
25th April, 2002

Fujitsu and Am-Beo today announced a Global Alliance to explore opportunities in telecoms revenue management. Under the agreement Fujitsu will deliver solutions based on Am-Beo technology to the growing multi-party content settlement market. This partnership will allow Fujitsu and Am-Beo to drive and continue to offer communication service providers with choice and best-in-class technology.

Many communication service providers are currently restricted in their ability to deliver next generation services because of their inflexible legacy settlement systems. Am-Beo's rate-rec is a real time rating and revenue chain management solution, which enables operators to run complex multi-party content rating schemes and automatically apportion revenues between parties. Leveraging existing billing investments, rate-rec can be deployed quickly as an adjunct system to support the rapid introduction of new services.

Using its powerful web-based integrated reporting suite, rate-rec facilitates the management of complex partner relationships, ensuring that revenue splits are correctly apportioned according to supplier agreements. rate-rec can handle an almost unlimited variety of content types, with carrier-class performance, so service providers can easily deploy rate-rec across a wide variety of current and emerging networks including GSM, GPRS, UMTS and other IP network infrastructures including cable.

Fujitsu's Wayne Barsanti (Business Development Manager - Settlement Systems) says, "We see Am-Beo's rate-rec product as an important emerging solution for rating content that fits well into our partner portfolio as an adjunct to traditional solutions".

"This partnership promises a win-win situation for Fujitsu and Am-Beo as well as for our clients. Fujitsu can focus on growing its solutions integration business, while Am-Beo can concentrate on maintaining rate-rec as a state-of-the-art product. Our clients win because they will now have a clear forward path into next-generation content settlement technology, with full product support, product scalability and functionality," said Am-Beo's Channel Manager, Mike Houston.

Fujitsu is a leading provider of management and technology consulting and integration services. This agreement with Am-Beo follows on from Fujitsu's recent announcement that it is to concentrate on best-in-class partnerships instead of developing its own products and is the first of a number of new SI related initiatives to be announced by the newly formed group that brought together the telecom businesses of DMR Consulting, ATG, Fujitsu Europe and ICL.
