Today, ART Advanced Recognition Technologies, Inc., recognized global pioneers of natural Human User Interface technologies for the mobile world, announced the launch of smARTspeak XG - the first ever speaker independent name dialing solution to be embedded in wireless mobile devices. With dynamic recognition based on phoneme identification, the smARTspeak XG needs no training to provide instant name dialing functionality in response to the users verbal command. The result is that no more time needs to be spent recording names into your phone book, or browsing/searching for contacts and no more the frustration of not remembering exactly how you phrased your original entry. Now, once a name and number are stored in the device, just saying `Call John Smith in his office activates the device to call John Smiths office number. And the smARTspeak XGs sophisticated recognition software responds with equal accuracy no matter how the sentence is structured. Thus Call John Smith in his office or John Smith office both generate the same result - providing the ultimate out-of-the-box user experience. Because the smARTspeak XG is fully speaker independent, it recognizes the command of any user with equal accuracy. Thus multiple users can now simply access an entire address book by requesting any name they want to call and the XG will perform the task. The smARTspeak XG is a boon to every mobile device user, said Eran Aharonson, ARTs President. Finally, multiple users can pick up a device and instruct it to dial using any phrasing that they choose. And the same technology allows the dynamic launch of any command feature with the utmost simplicity. ARTs latest market offering, the smARTspeak XG carries forward the unique combination of features that made the revolutionary smARTspeak NG so popular with OEMs. These features include speaker dependent name dialing, speaker independent / dependent continuous digit dialing and speaker independent / dependent command & control. The smARTspeak XGs advanced phonetic recognition engine operates in the tight processing power environment of ARM 7 or similar processors designed for mobile devices. Its modular design makes it perfect for deployment across the entire range of mass marketed handsets from entry level through to high-end devices and the same dynamic recognition solution can also operate any other functions currently offered by the device WAP, favorites etc. giving the XG unlimited command possibilities. |
