There is no denying the Samsung J700’s aesthetic appeal, but with entry level handsets becoming more and more accomplished, we would expect more from Samsung.
Sony Ericsson W380 Review by 3G.co.uk
The W380 is sure to appeal to a younger audience, with a host of appealing gimmicks such as Gesture control and the OLED external screen.
A very easy to use phone and the Walkman player is fun. The five-way navigation pad controls the player when in Walkman mode but the addition of motion sensors allows you to skip tracks with an abrupt flick of your wrist.

Sony Ericsson W960i Review by 3G.co.uk Whatever the N81 8GB can do - and it is very, very capable - it will always be in the shade of its more illustrious sibling.
The Sony Ericsson K770i is another top ranking Sony Ericsson mobile phone but how does it stack up against the Cybershot range ? 5 Megapixel Cyber-shot mobile phone from the Sony Ericsson stable. But is a photographer's dream machine?
Sony Ericsson has gone back to the drawing board with its new T-series incarnation, the T650i, with the addition of 3G and a decent camera. But are we impressed? Another day, another Walkman phone. But has the latest W660i 3G music phone got anything in its design and feature locker to make you sit up and take notice? 3G finds out.
Having had the Sony Ericsson S500i in our mitts for 30 seconds we say ... a mid-range slider, but as a phone with style ambitions, the S500i doesn’t have the X-factor. Sony Ericsson has been selective with its Cyber-shot range and the mid-range K550i is only the third instalment. While Sony Ericsson seemingly can’t stop spawning an army of Walkman phones
The Sony Ericsson P1 was announced on 8th May 2007 and is a relatively slim 3G smartphone. It is a fifth-generation P-series smartphone which builds on the success of its predecessors The W880i certainly has its fair share of the "wow" factor. This is attributable to the fact that it is a genuine bantamweight which oozes charisma from the outset. Of particular note, is its brushed stainless steel finish and the stand-out colour variants - either Steel Silver or Flame Black.
This compact Symbian smartphone is a lot tougher than the W710i and more comprehensive with its fitness apps. Its text-to-speech capabilities can update you with your progress and read text messages while exercising. The W950i is the biggest, baddest, phattest Walkman phone ever and it’s set to be the music phone in everyone’s pockets. What could go wrong? We can’t begin to imagine.
The P990i is the latest in a line of P series smartphones from Sony Ericsson. Previous smartphones in the range have been met with almost obsessive loyalty, making them a hard act to follow, and even today, when there are plenty of smartphone choices around the ‘P’ has a loyalty many others would love to emulate. The new Sony Ericsson W850i heralds the next phase in the Walkman phone evolution. As the eighth member of this successful musical family, this handset not only sports a Sony Ericsson first but also a more advanced Walkman player that hints at a far more exciting and enhanced experience for the mobile music fan.
Two similar UK models exist at this time. The Vodafone Sony Ericsson V630i and Three's Sony Ericsson K610i. For us the V630i just comes out on top - as did its Vodafone live! Mobile TV. For a 3G handset having no camera is something of a sin. It means no video calls and no shooting anything to MMS or SMS around. Which we find rather sad.
Vodafone’s new, exclusive 3G-powered Sony Ericsson V630i may look new on the outside but inside it harbours a very familiar secret. What could it be? Let’s find out There’s no doubt that the trailblazing Walkman brand of the eighties and nineties paved the way for the iPod’s phenomenal success. Since its birth in July 1979, the Walkman has defined music on the move and arguably youth culture around the end of last century.
Ericsson’s super group of Walkman-branded music phones has acquired another new member in the form of the 3G-enabled W900i.
