HTC have unveiled their first two Windows Phone 8 smartphones which are called the Windows Phone 8X HTC and the Windows Phone 8S HTC.
The Windows Phone 8X (pictured above) is HTC's flagship Windows smartphone and comes with 4.3 inch Super LCD2 touch-screen display which runs at a resolution of 1280*720 pixels. The display comes with thin Gorilla Glass, while it also has optical lamination which reduces glare and reflections.
One really interesting feature of the 8X is that it comes with a built-in amp which powers the speaker and the 3.5mm headphone jack, When you combine this with Beats Audio technology and some Beats headphones you get an amazing music device.

HTC's Windows Phone 8X is powered by a 1.5 Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and has 16GB of on-board memory. Additionally, the 8X has a stunning 8 mega-pixel camera with backside-illumination (BSI) , along with an f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens and a dedicated imaging chip.
The Windows Phone 8X by HTC also has a front-facing 2.1 mega-pixel wide angle lens which will be perfect for video calling and taking self-portraits. While the smartphone supports 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC but sadly it lacks support for 4G LTE.
The Windows Phone 8S (pictured below) is a slightly more affordable Windows Phone 8 smartphone which has a smaller 4 inch Super LCD2 display. The smartphone adopts the same uni-body design , but this time it features a separate colour at the bottom of the mobile.

HTC's Windows Phone 8S is powered by a dual-core 1.2 Ghz processor which makes it a little bit slower than the 8X. While the on-board memory has been cut down to 4GB, but you needn't worry because it comes with support for microSD cards.
Additionally, the smartphone has a 5 mega-pixel rear-facing camera but strangely it lacks a front-facing camera. The 8S also supports Beats Audio but it lacks the amp present in the Windows Phone 8X HTC.
Both the Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S will launch in the UK in November and will be available from Orange, O2 , Three , T-Mobile, and Vodafone .
The Windows Phone 8X comes in a choice of California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red and Limelight Yellow , while the Windows Phone 8S will be available in Domino, Fiesta Red, Atlantic Blue and High-Rise Grey.
