Tesco Mobile have unveiled their iPhone tariffs and they seem pretty competitive on first glance with the operator also offering the opportunity to get an iPhone 5 on a 12 month contract.
The lowest price 24 month iPhone 5 contract offered on Tesco Mobile costs £25 a month and gets you 1500 minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB of mobile data. However, you will incur a large up-front cost which sits at £300, £375 and £450 for the 16, 32 and 64GB iPhone 5 respectively.
The highest priced 24 month tariff comes in at £45 a month which gives you 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and 1GB of data. 3G wonders whether your meant to get less minutes on the top tariff because that seems a little strange to us. Anyway, on the £45 a month deal you'll have to pay £50, £125 and £200 up-front for the iPhone 5 16GB, 32GB and 64GB respectively.
Tesco Mobile are also offering 12 month contracts which might be appealing to some people. They start at £30 a month which offers users 500 minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB of data with £400, £475 and £550 being the upfront fees for the different models of the iPhone 5.
The final choice is a 12 month tariff costing £40 a month which comes with 750 minutes, 5,000 texts and 1GB of mobile data. The upfront charges are then reduced slightly over the £30 tariff down to £300, £375 and £450.
Three's plans still blitz Tesco's because you can get a 16GB iPhone 5 on a contract costing £36 a month offering you 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited data with an upfront fee of just £79. You can also upgrade to the 32GB model by paying an extra £10 upfront or the top-of-the-range 64GB model for an upfront fee of £109.
