Acer Cloud Mobile Landing At Start Of October

Acer CloudMobile

Acer first announced the CloudMobile back at the Mobile World Congress in February and it looks like the Android smartphone will finally launch in October.

Online retailer Expansys have added the smartphone to its online store with the shipping date listed as October 3rd. We presume this is the smartphones general release , although so far none of the UK's operators have confirmed they'll be stocking the smartphone.

The Acer CloudMobile is a mid-range Android smartphone that has a 4.3 inch touch-screen running at a resolution of 1280*720 pixels. The mobile is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor and has 1GB of RAM, which is more than enough to run Android Ice Cream Sandwich smoothly.

Acer's CloudMobile has 16GB of on-board memory which can be expanded by another 32GB using microSD cards. You also get both an 8 mega-pixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing VGA camera for video calling, as well support for NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G.

When you consider that the Acer CloudMobile is priced at just £289.99 you realise how good value it offers. We hope one of the operators decides to stock the smartphone and 3G hope to review Acer's mobile very soon.
