The ZTE Skate was expected to launch on September 18th , but that date has been and gone. However, online retailer the Clove have confirmed that the smartphone will be available tomorrow in the UK.

The ZTE Skate, which is the same as the Orange Monte Carlo, is a mid-range Android smartphone that comes in an affordable price.

The specification of the Skate includes a 4.3 inch touch-screen (800*480 pixels), an 800MHz processor and a 5 mega-pixel camera with auto-focus and flash. The Android version driving the Skate is Android Gingerbread (2.3), so it supports all the latest in mobile technology.

The Clove has the ZTE Skate available to buy for just £180, which is great value when compared to rivals with a similar specification. However, we'd have to say that the Monte Carlo, which is the same phone, is available for £149.99 on Orange so maybe that's the better deal.
