Toshiba launched the Toshiba Thrive earlier this year and they've now announced a smaller screen version. While the original Thrive had a 10 inch screen the new version has a 7 inch touch-screen and is unsurprisingly called the Toshiba Thrive 7.

The 7 inch touch-screen uses LED technology and runs at a resolution of 1280*800 pixels. It features Toshiba's Adapative Display technology and Resolution+3 video enhancements. This makes it the first 7 inch touch-screen tablet to launch in the US with a true HD resolution.

The Thrive 7 will ship with Android 3.2 and is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor. It also has an Nvidia Geforce graphics chip to deliver amazing gaming. Hands on motion-control in games is supported thanks to the Thrive's built-in Gyroscope.

The Thrive 7 has a rear-facing 5 mega-pixel camera with LED flash and a front-facing 2 mega-pixel camera for video calling. The Toshiba Thrive is available with either 16GB or 32GB of onboard memory.

At the current time the Toshiba Thrive has only been confirmed in the US where it will launch in December.
