Three's MiFi Explained

Three ( 3 UK ) has announced that it's MiFi ( mobile WiFi ) now comes via HSPA+ for some customers. This currently applies to anyone who uses the Huawei E586 MiFi dongle. Three launched their first MiFi device about 2 years ago and offers the chance to share the MiFi with up to 5 other devices.
Two years on and the new generation of MiFi has been launched this week. The new HSPA+ Huawei E586 MiFi dongle coupled with Three's MiFi now offers up to a download speed of 5.9Mb which is 40% faster than non HSPA+ dongles. Existing non HSPA+ dongle users with Three can upgrade to a new HSPA+ MiFi dongle.
The new HSPA+ dongles come with a charging cradle and once fully charged offers over 4 hours of mobile use.
The specification includes : charging cradle, memory slot for micro SD card that supports up to 32GB, approximately 4.5 hours battery life, browser based dashboard to manage device and account (Windows, Linux, Mac) and provides fast, secure Wi-Fi for up to five devices.
PAYG customers can get the HSPA+ MiFi experience on Pay As You Go from £84.99 with an initial 3GB. It is also available on a range of monthly price plans starting from as little as £7.87 a month (with an upfront cost of £49.99 for the MiFi modem).
