The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet has been officially announced and joins the Samsung Galaxy Tab range as the smallest in the range which includes the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 can be classed as a book-sized tablet and comes with a Super AMOLED plus screen. It was announced at the IFA conference in Berlin.

The Android Operating System for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is Android 3.2 Honeycomb which is fine-tuned for smaller tablets. It has the brighter Super AMOLED Plus display which is also used in the Samsung Galaxy S II  smartphone and rules the roost as far as tablet screens go.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 comes with a  dual-core 1.4GHz processor, a longer life battery, three-megapixel camera, storage varies from 8GB to 64GB and is just 7.89mm in depth.
