Non Nokia smartphone users can now access Nokia Maps via the new Nokia Maps for Mobile Web service which is currently in Beta version.

Nokia Maps for Mobile Web can be used by anyone with Apple's iOS 4.3, Android 2.3 and above and Blackberry's  OS 6.0 and above. Nokia Maps is powered by Navteq and brings all the expected route and destination features and facilities.

It also comes with all the usual mapping requirements such as Public Transport View, Live Traffic View and regular map view. Blue icons are displayed to show Points Of Interest ( POI's } which includes all the usual petrol stations, hotels, Airports etc.

Nokia Maps for Mobile Web has to be used with a live data connection so watch out for high bills if you exceed your data allowance.
