Motorola Defy+

We brought you news of the Defy+ last month which is the successor to the Motorola Defy. Now the Defy+ has appeared on online retailer the Clove with the launch date listed as September 30th.

Just like its predecessor the Motorola Defy+ is a tough-phone that is water-resistant, scratch-proof and dust-proof so it's suitable for even the most active outdoor lifestyle.  However, unlike a lot of tough-phones it actually looks like a designer smartphone that you wouldn't be ashamed to have in a fancy restaurant or board meeting.

The Defy+ improves on the original in a number of ways which includes a better processor which now comes in at 1GHz compared to 0.8Ghz on the Defy. Additionally, the camera has been improved because it now features auto-focus and a flash. The operating system has also been upgraded and the Defy+ will now run on Android 2.3.

The Clove have listed the Motorola Defy+ at £246 including VAT, so you can expect it to be available free when it comes to the operators on a wide selection of tariffs. Once we get news about what operators will stock the Motorola Defy+ we'll be sure to let you know.
