Google Goggles has been updated to Version 1.6 and this brings an interesting improvement to your camera's performance. At the moment this only applies to Android smartphones and those with Android 2.1 and above.
The new feature allows you to to take a photograph and Google Goggles will analyze the image and let you know of anything it recognizes in the photo. The feature itself is an opt-in feature.
Typically the Google Goggles App will identify landmarks, buildings, paintings and such in the photos you have taken with your smartphones camera.
To set this feature on your smartphone you need to enable the Search from Camera feature by launching Google Goggles and hit menu, then settings and select Search from Camera.
