Earlier this month Three unveiled the Huawei E586 which is the first mobile WiFi device to support HSPA, which is up to 40 per cent faster than standard 3G.

MiFi enables you to share your mobile broadband over WiFi with up to five devices, so you can use your mobile broadband on your laptop, iPhone, games console etc all at the same time. The new Huawei E586 MiFi device was expected to improve speeds by 40 per cent, but benchmarks have shown its been improved by up to 50 per cent.

The Huawei E586 provides quick and secure connections with the touch of a button and also has a OLED screen which displays the connection time, data used and the speed of your current connection. The new modem supports speeds up to 6Mb and also comes with a charging dock making use even easier at home.

Three have been pioneers in Mobile Broadband since the very start and this latest move suggests they have no intention of surrendering the lead in the technology.
