Orange have added the Acer C6 Liquid Express to its Coming Soon page.  This is the first we've heard of the smartphone but we assume it follows in the example set by the original Acer Liquid.

Infact, the specification is quite similar to the original with a similarly "specced" 800 MHz processor , 3.5 inch touch-screen and a 5 mega-pixel camera. However, it gets brought up-to-date with an upgrade to Android 2.3. Other features include WiFi and 3G+ support, an FM radio and an MP3 player.

Acer have a history of launching Android smartphones and this is just the latest in a long-line. In the past they've launched the Acer Liquid, Liquid Mini as well as the Ferrari version of the Liquid Mini.

The Acer C6 Liquid Express will be launching shortly on Orange and we'd expect it to come in at a mid-range price-point. Once we get more news of the price and the exact launch date we'll let you know.
