The latest internet rumours have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Tablet will be getting an upgrade to Chrome OS, when the new open-source operating system is released.
The Galaxy Tab will still feature Android 2.2 , which is also expected to be upgraded to the tablet friendly 3.0 version, on launch. However, its thought that when Chrome OS launches the Galaxy Tablet will be upgradeable to that operating system.
Googles Chrome OS is an operating system tailored for netbooks and other devices whose primary use is internet based. Rather than focusing on downloadable applications, Chrome OS will primarily support web applications and it therefore might be perfect for Internet tablets.
Chrome OS is thought to bring increase web-performance and an expierence closer to that seen on your desktop PC.
