Nokia added pedestrian mode to its Ovi Maps service late last week and they've now added a couple more new features.

The flagship of the new updates is "Check In" , which enables you to post your location with a message and photos on your favourite social networks.

The option is there to "Check In" publicly or privately to select individuals you want to share your location with. It's a nice idea to show friends somewhere you are to meet up, or just to let people know what your doing at the moment. You can obviously opt-out of this service if you'd rather keep your privacy.

The other new additions include the addition of live-traffic updates and public transport listings.
