MeeGo News Absent From Nokia World
![]() |
Many "industry insiders" were expecting Nokia to show off the MeeGo powered Nokia N9 at Nokia world. However, the device was noticeably missing from the event, as was the new operating system .
MeeGo is a new linux-based operating system that was produced in collaboration between Nokia and Intel. We think MeeGo might end up being the more "professional" version of the operating system, which is justified by the fact that the Nokia N9 is thought to be the successor to the Nokia N900, which was a business-orientated mobile.
The Nokia N9 is thought to feature a large touch-screen, 10 mega-pixel camera and no doubt loads of "office" software and full email support.
The reason for the Nokia N9's no-show at Nokia world is thought to be because Nokia wanted the launch off Symbian^3 and the Nokia N8 to "steal the show".
