iPhone Tops Smartphone Customer Satisfaction Rankings
![]() |
The Apple iPhone has been proclaimed the best smartphone for customer satisfaction. This is now the fourth year that J.D. Power has crowned the iPhone in this way. This was a US based survey. The survey measured customer satisfaction for ease of operation and the performance of the operating system but discounted battery performance .
J.D. Power awarded Apple with its iPhone 800 points out of a maximum 1,000 points. Next came Motorola with 791 and HTC with 781. The overall average for all smartphone makers was 754. For the 2010 survey it was confirmed that the gap between first and second and third places reduced from previous years.
J.D. Power did not outline any particular Motorola or HTC smartphones in the results but we would expect the Droid X and Droid 2 to feature for Motorola and possibly the Droid Incredible and Evo for HTC. BlackBerry scored 737, Samsung 735, Palm 726, and Nokia 711.
