iPad and iPhone Get Wireless Printing

The iPad , iPhone and iPod touch will soon benefit from wireless printing as Apple prepares to include AirPrint wireless printing in its free iOS 4.2 software update.
The update will be ready for iPad , iPhone and iPod touch users to download in November. Currently, Apple is sending a beta version of AirPrint wireless printing to Apple's iOS developers in readiness for the launch in November.
Airprint will let iPad , iPhone and iPod touch users print wirelessly from their iPad , iPhone and iPod touch by Wi-Fi to a printer on a local network. Airprint will find any such printer automatically and there is no need to install drivers etc.
The first printers to support direct printing for iPad , iPhone and iPod touch iOS devices will be the ePrint enabled range from HP.
AirPrint is designed to support a wide range of printers from entry level inkjet printers to office laser printers. Additionally, iOS 4.2 devices can print to printers shared through a Mac or a PC. iOS 4.2 compatible HP printers include the HP Photosmart, Officejet, Officejet Pro and LaserJet Pro series ePrint enabled printers.
