BlackBerry Torch 9800 Prices Surface

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is due to launch October 1st in the UK and is Blackberry's attempt to fight back against the iPhone.
Not only have they added their first ever sliding QWERTY keyboard , but it also comes with the new BlackBerry operating system, OS 6. It's been redesigned to move away from the business style of the past by adding social networking applications , an improved media player, video recording and a redesigned visual interface.
Prices leaked by BlackBerry Leaks show how Vodafone is going to price the BlackBerry Torch 9800.
The mobile will be available on contracts starting from £20 a month , where you will have to pay a massive £399.99 up-front , which seems an awful lot considering its being offered for around £500 Sim-Free.
If you want to get the mobile free you'll have to take out a £40 a month deal which lasts for a period of 2 years.
We think the mobile looks very expensive and will struggle to compete with the iPhone, but perhaps these could be early prices which may change closer to the date.
