Windows Phone 7 is a new mobile operating system from Microsoft that replaces Microsoft's Windows Mobile platform. Windows Phone 7 was first announced at Mobile World Congress 2010 in February and released to mobile phone manufacturers in September.

Recently it was rumoured that Orange, O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone will be taking Windows Phone 7 smartphones and now 3 UK has followed suit with an official teaser release. 3 UK confirm that they will be adding at least one Windows Phone 7 smartphone to their portfolio before the end of 2010.

The photo above is that of a Windows Phone 7 smartphone but it has not been stated that this is to be stocked by 3 UK or whether it's simply a generic photo of a Windows Phone 7 smartphone.
