UK : Orange UK is now able to sell the Apple iPhone 3G and Apple iPhone 3GS. This has happened so quickly that Orange is not able to confirm when the iPhones will be available, but say that further announcements will be made soon.
Recently, a merger was announced between T-Mobile and Orange and this has obviously caught the interest of Apple as the new combined mobile operator has a customer base of over 28 million.
Of course, this means that O2 is no longer the sole seller of the iPhone 3G and Apple iPhone 3GS. Orange will sell the iPhone 3G and 3GS in the UK and another 27 countries.
In addition to there being no availability dates, there is no pricing as yet announced. We are not surprised that these details are not yet set as the announcement has caught us somewhat unaware.
If you’d like to register a pre-interest then head www.orange.co.uk/ Iphone.
Orange, which has the largest 3G network covering more people in the UK than any other operator, will sell iPhone in all Orange direct channels including Orange shops, the Orange webshop and Orange telesales channels, as well as selected high street partners.
