UK : Vodafone have announced a new collection of internet services calling them “Vodafone 360”.
Vodafone 360 amalgamates a user’s contacts, status updates, messaging services into one place. This makes it much easier for users to navigate their phones, having only one set of photos, contacts and music etc.
Vodafone 360 also allows customers to share their music choices and, if they wish, their physical location with friends. For privacy and security reasons these do have to be manually enabled.
Vodafone 360 automatically backs up your data and synchronizes it between your PC and mobile. This ensures all your contacts and data are up to place wherever you are.
On launch Vodafone 360 will be available on two exclusive phones built by Samsung for Vodafone.
The first of these is the Vodafone 360 H1 (pictured above), which will have a 3.5 inch multi-touch screen HD screen, 16GB of memory, WiFi support and a 5MP camera. The second Samsung handset has yet to be confirmed.
Additionally four Nokia smartphones will be pre-loaded with Vodafone 360 and it will be available to download on over 100 mobiles!
“Vodafone 360 is the first service of its kind to offer customers the benefits of a truly integrated mobile internet experience that gathers all their contacts and content, all around them, in one place,” said Pieter Knook, Director of Internet Services at Vodafone Group.
The specific launch is yet to be announced, but it will be in 2009.
