US : A new Blackberry software program has been released which allows Blackberry users to make mobile payments via their bank account or credit card.
V-MAC from Mobile BIS is a software package for Blackberry users which acts as a virtual system to buy anything. V-MAC allows you to shop in person at a High Street shop or online. The program also makes it easy to make mobile transfer funds and pay bills via your Blackberry.
The new system is claimed to be of the highest security because in addition to entering your own PIN for each transaction or purchase, the transaction process also allocates a one-off code to finalise the mobile transaction.
More efficient and less expensive than traditional credit card charging devises or on-line payment systems, V-MAC is already enjoying significant acceptance in key European cities, including the Italian credit card network CartaSi, a worldwide VISA partner.
Mobile BIS is now rolling out this newest form of e-commerce by initiating point of sale locations nationwide including stores, shops and websites.
Mobile BIS is an Oracle Certified Partner and a member of the Oracle Development Alliance. Its mobile solutions are developed and implemented using the Oracle 10g database and Oracle 10g lite mobile application server.
