Europe
: Sweden's first mobile 3G datacard and Vodafone Sweden's fastest
mobile Internet connection - up to 384 kb/s - are now even more appealing.
For only SEK 499/month, Vodafone's customers can e-mail and surf the
Internet on their laptops until their hearts' content. This price
includes 1 Gigabyte of data per month and applies regardless of whether
customers use Vodafone Sweden's 3G or GPRS network.
The
PC card is included in the price and the offer is available for customers
signing up for 12- or 18 months data subscription before the 31 December
this year.
In February
this year, Vodafone was the first operator in Sweden to launch a PC
card specially adapted for 3G networks - the Vodafone Mobile Connect
3G/GPRS. The service was a success and won the award for best corporate
mobile service at the GSM Association Awards Ceremony in Cannes.
Vodafone's
PC card functions both via the GPRS and 3G networks, giving users
access to e-mail, calendars, the Internet and their company LANs from
almost any location. As well as being ideal for companies with staff
that makes frequent customer visits or business trips, the 3G datacard
is also perfect for those who need to be able to work from home.
Attractive
price that applies for both Vodafone's 3G and the GPRS networks Vodafone
now offers business customers a whopping 1 Gigabyte of data for SEK
499 kronor per month (excluding VAT)*. The price applies regardless
of whether customers use Vodafone's 3G network or the GPRS network
for surfing. The offer is valid for customers signing up for 12 or
18 months data subscription and a PC card is included free of charge.

"Vodafone
aims to offer the best business solutions in the market. With our
award winning 3G datacard service our customers can improve their
productivity and give greater flexibility to staff. This great offer
applies for both 3G and gprs usage in Sweden and is designed to allow
our customers to roam between both networks without worrying about
price, says Geraldine Wilson, Chief Commercial Officer at Vodafone
Sweden.
With
1 Gigabyte/month, users can essentially e-mail and surf the Internet
until their hearts' content. This amount of data is equivalent to
around 100,000 regular e-mails with text (5,000 a day for one working
month) or 300 visits to finance daily newspaper Dagens Industri's
web site, for example, to read the edition online. Should users nevertheless
exceed their 1 Gigabyte limit, the price for transferring extra data
is only SEK 1/MB (excluding VAT) during the subscription period.
Vodafone
offers 3G roaming in ten countries
Vodafone Sweden currently has 3G roaming agreements with operators
in ten countries - France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands,
Portugal, Spain, the UK and Germany - which means that Swedish businesspeople
travelling to these countries can use Vodafone's datacard and enjoy
high data transfer speed. Additional 3G roaming agreements are being
signed on a continuous basis and the card functions over the GPRS
network in 24 countries around the world. When using the service abroad,
roaming traffic rates apply from each country.
