: Comarco Wireless Test Solutions introduces the Seven.Five Prizm
Scanning Receiver. With guaranteed accuracy and speeds of four to
ten times better than other scanners’ published specifications,
it is ideal for:
·
RF RSSI mapping, RFI analysis, benchmarking, optimization
·
Prediction model tuning, real-time RF analysis
·
Baseband decoding
·
Harmonics, spurious emissions, antenna siting, coverage
·
CDMA IS-95/1X, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, WCDMA, IS-136/iDEN
There
are three plug-in scanner units available for the Prizm chassis that
cover the ANSI, ITU and iDEN bands. All are plug-and-play interchangeable
with the appropriate software license keys, managed by a single user
interface, with dynamic load balancing, when multiple scanners are
required. Although one scanner would satisfy the requirements of the
typical user, two scanners may be installed in the Prizm chassis.
When only one scanner is required, a battery may be added in the available
slot making the Prizm a small and lightweight package suitable for
portable use.
“Comarco’s
widely acclaimed Seven.Five System for testing, optimizing and benchmarking
cellular infrastructure has received an important upgrade, with the
addition of the Prizm Scanning Receiver,” notes Greg Maton,
senior vice president of Comarco. “Fully software configurable,
the Prizm can display several data and technology-specific monitors,
along with a summary and a map monitor. All monitors are available
and configurable in both real time and replay modes facilitating analysis
both in the field and in the office.”
Prizm
includes GPS for tracking
Prizm
comes complete with GPS and an interface for in-building navigation
or dead reckoning, with a 12V-power supply and a single USB cable
for communication, control and data logging. A map monitor displays
the route taken on MapInfo-format files. Location, time, speed and
satellite information are stored with the time and location serving
as reference points within the file.
Available
for OEM Developers
The scanner
module is available as an OEM product with a complete developer’s
package for ease of integration into a customized product. The developer’s
kit comes complete with user documentation, cables and a reference
board for product development.
Comarco’s
Prizm Scanning Receiver System is available at prices starting from
$13,000(US) and availability is four to six weeks ARO.
