More Games for BREW Wireless

2nd September 2003

Europe: Macrospace, the market leader in wireless gaming solutions, today announced the availability of the first three titles in its range of premium mobile games developed for QUALCOMM's Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless™ (BREW™) platform.

Over the coming months, Macrospace will be developing a wide range of its popular games for the BREW platform, giving gamers in North America and beyond access to Macrospace's portfolio of exciting and innovative mobile games on BREW-enabled handsets.

The three games launching Macrospace's BREW portfolio will be:

Dragon Island - take control of the axe-wielding hero in this fast and fun platform adventure game. Climb ropes, collect power-ups, dodge monsters and make your way to Dragon Island, where you must defeat the ancient dragon to restore peace to the kingdom.
Detonate! - blast your way through all the levels and collect power-ups while dodging surveillance robots and fighting end of level bosses. Power-ups including multiple bombs, speed, shields and extra range will help you battle through to the end.
Crash N Burn - a fast paced racing game where drivers need to use cunning and skill alongside nitro boosts and missiles to beat their rivals. The game features Championship and single race modes, with 24 unlockable races on 8 unique tracks.
"This announcement demonstrates Macrospace's commitment to developing mobile games for a truly global audience, and QUALCOMM has been instrumental in helping us develop for the BREW platform," said Sami Lababidi, Chief Technical Officer, Macrospace. "The high performance of the BREW platform means that mobile gamers with BREW-enabled phones can now have a great gaming experience with the content from Macrospace. We look forward to working with QUALCOMM as we contribute Macrospace content to the virtual BREW marketplace, as well as operators offering BREW-based products and services."

"We're thrilled to have Macrospace bringing its line-up of compelling games to operators offering BREW-based services in the United States and around the world," said Mike Yuen, director, BREW Developer Relations, QUALCOMM Internet Services. "Macrospace's titles are sure to provide wireless users with BREW-enabled devices a robust, entertaining and action packed experience."

QUALCOMM's BREW system provides products and services that connect the mobile marketplace value chain, which includes application developers, publishers, content providers, device manufacturers, operators and consumers.
