Who Needs 3G Wireless
26th September 2002

Abstract Worlds Ltd has released a video clip of it's forthcoming game StrangeMaze, a 3D first person maze racing game for Java mobile phones.
StrangeMaze is a single-player game set in a randomly generated maze where you race against robots to find the exit. The video clip shows the game
running on the Nokia 3410, 6310i, Motorola T720 and Siemens MT50.

Photo shows Strangemaze being played on the Motorola T720.

Paul Ireland, founder of Abstract Worlds, stated:

"I do believe that StrangeMaze is a special product for the following reasons:

1. A game so small that at less than 30K it can even run on the Nokia 6310i, be downloaded OTA by more networks, and runs on the cheap mass
market Java phones

2. Despite its size, a game that offers so much replayability since everything in the game is randomly generated including the mazes and colours

3. A game that uses standard MIDP so it runs on most if not all Java phones

4. Despite its use of standard MIDP, a game that runs fast (10 FPS on the Nokia 3410)

5. It's a real 3D game on a mobile phone! Providing a smooth true 3D first person experience

We are in a strong position to develop other games based on the generic 3D raycasting engine we developed for StrangeMaze, such games as branded licensed games, first person shooters, racing games, tank games, sports games, puzzle games etc. We feel that our unique selling point is our in-house developed 3D raycasting engine and our application of this 3D technology to mobile phone games.

Who needs 3G when you can have 3D!" StrangeMaze will be released later this year.
