Verizon's New Wireless Phone for Express Network
24th September 2002

Motorola announced the availability of the Motorola T720 mobile phone for Verizon Wireless customers. Fully compatible with Verizon Wireless' newly unveiled Get It Now(SM) service, the Motorola T720 offers consumers the latest downloadable games, business applications and ring tunes.

The model T720 boasts a large color screen for viewing games, charts and
maps and an iconic user-interface for easy operation. Combined with Verizon
Wireless' national high-speed, award-winning wireless data network -- Express
Network(TM) -- users can easily access the latest news and information or
download new applications from the Internet at speeds similar or better than a
home PC connection.

"The combination of the new Motorola T720 color-screen phone and Verizon
Wireless' Get It Now(SM) service makes mobile communication more than just a
phone call or sending an SMS message. Consumers can create their own
experience by easily downloading new applications to work and play in living
color," said Joe Woods, vice president product operations, Motorola's Personal
Communications Sector.

The new Motorola T720 adapts to meet the needs of any consumer. With a
few taps of the keypad, consumers can choose to aesthetically transform the
model T720 with new wallpaper or screensavers, or go turbo and add new
applications and tools to meet their individual needs at any given time. When
the going gets rough, the Motorola T720 stays tough, accessing driving
directions, stock quotes, sports scores, games and more -- all within reach
with Verizon Wireless' Get It Now(SM) service.

Beyond the colorful look and feel of the Motorola T720, the phone provides
music to consumers' ears with the polyphonic speaker's high-quality audio
capabilities. These technologies create a ring tune that provides up to 40
different MIDI levels for a real-life musical ring in the palm of a consumer's
hand. And, when the phone must be quiet, consumers can use the VibraCall(R)
alert so others are not disturbed.

The musical fun begins when consumers download new ring tunes that sound
like songs from their favorite artists, television shows or movie theme songs.
Ring tunes can be downloaded directly to the Motorola T720 and saved so
consumers can change them at a whim -- every day or every week. Ring tunes
also can be specially assigned to incoming callers or event alarms for easy
identification.

Game lovers and busy professionals craving downtime between flights and
meetings can continually update their game collection with Verizon Wireless'
Get Games. Using the Motorola T720, users can satisfy their competitive
cravings with games like Yahtzee by Hasbro(R), Solitaire by JAMDAT(TM) or EA
Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf(TM), which can be downloaded with Verizon
Wireless' Get It Now(SM) service. The model T720's four-way navigation key
serves as the perfect "joystick" for playing games or facing challenges on or
off the golf course.

The Motorola T720 allows business users to Get It Now(SM) with a variety
of applications -- including productivity tools such as expense tracker that
allows consumers to go directly to a category of expense, enter an amount that
is automatically time stamped and store the information until it is needed for
processing. Additionally, the Motorola T720 includes a two-line external
caller-ID* display, PIM functionality, WAP Internet, voice-activated dialing,
menu shortcuts and voice recorder.
