Logica and Comptel to Deliver a Mediation Solution to a T-Mobile Group

Logica announced the successful deployment of Comptel's mediation solution to Westel Mobile Telecommunications in Hungary. The mediation solution enables Westel to introduce new services to the market more quickly, providing it with an important competitive edge. Picture above shows Comptel’s advanced solution for event mediation, Comptel MDS/AMD, is a software product for collecting usage data from the network and processing it into a form that can be easily utilised by the operator's business support systems.

Logica implemented Comptel MDS/AMD, a software product for event mediation. The solution acts as a single point of operational control connecting Westel's business support systems (BSS) with the telecommunications network. The solution processes and confirms subscriber usage data, such as multimedia messages (MMS) sent and voice calls dialled over Westel's mobile network. It then transforms the data into a billable form and transfers it to the operator's billing system.
