UIEngine software technology makes it easy for content developers to create and deliver dynamic, rich UI applications and services to their subscribers. UIEngine client software requires only 30KB worth of memory, and enables deployment of multiple services, with no versioning or client-administration hassles. The UIEngine client acts as a "UI agent" on behalf of the server-side application, presenting the user interface and interacting with the end user. "When it comes to wireless content, nothing is more important than the user experience," said Satoshi Nakajima, CEO and founder of UIEvolution. "With UIEngine technology, developers can finally deliver rich UI content to their customers without complex client-side Java programming." "We are excited to deliver sophisticated user-interface technology for 504i series and J2ME/MIDP phones," added Takihiko Wakimoto, director and general manager for ITX E-Globaledge's Mobile Projects Unit. "UIEngine technology will make it easy for development partners to produce improved applications like ringtone browsers, messaging clients, photo albums, maps, even new classes of dynamic services." The development and deployment software will first be made available to select partners, and then released commercially to content developers later this year.
