Antepo Unveils Instant Messaging client for Microsoft® Smartphone
4th September 2002

Antepo announces that it has started commercializing a new wireless client part of its ACCEPT™ platform. This new client has been designed to exploit the functionality and capabilities of next-generation communicators, smartphones and new hybrid phone/PDAs based on Microsoft® Smartphone 2002 platform.

"This new component further increases Antepo's edge in the field of wireless Instant Messaging and proves our capacity to adapt our offering to new technologies as fast as they become a market reality," Max Seguineau, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of Antepo says. "At a time when the IM market is overcrowded with dozens of me-too products, Antepo proves that early and established players still lead the pack and drive the market vision. Technological anticipation, product reliability, track record with leading wirefree carriers: this is the recipe that makes us stand out from the others."

The new ACCEPT™ client brings to smartphones features similar to those offered on Pocket PC devices, in much more powerful and personal fashion since it addresses a wider audience of business and mass-market users. Users can enjoy colorful access to messaging and presence management functionality.

Antepo's ACCEPT™ is a carrier-grade mobile messaging platform relying on Jabber technology, supporting other industry standards like Wireless Village and maximizing presence-based communication from wireless and wireline devices..
