Sony Xperia Z1 Mini Global Release Inbound
Sony's Xperia Z1 Mini to rollout globally next month?
Earlier this month Sony unveiled the Xperia Z1 Mini - or Xperia Z1f - in their native Japan. They confirmed that the compact smartphone will launch in Japan in December, but the manufacturer is yet to reveal when the Z1 Mini will roll-out globally.
We've now learnt that Sony are holding a press event on November 12th where they are expected to unveil the global version of the Xperia Z1 Mini. If that's the case, then it's possible that the global launch of the smartphone could mirror the Japanese launch - meaning that the Z1 Mini would land in the UK before the end of 2013.
The Sony Xperia Z1 Mini crams everything that made the Xperia Z1 great into a more compact form. It's got a 4.3 inch 1280*720 pixel display, is powered by a 2.2GHz processor and has a stunning 20.7 mega-pixel camera. As you'd expect for a high-end smartphone: it supports 4G and comes pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean.
We're excited about the launch of the Xperia Z1 Mini, because it's one of the first viable alternatives to the compact HTC One Mini. It's varied colour range (pictured above) also makes it an alternative to Apple's iPhone 5C - with the Cyan model sure to prove popular with the fairer sex.
3G will report all the news from Sony's press event in Shanghai on November 12th as it happens.
