Android Jelly Bean has already been out for a few months but Sony still havn't brought the operating system to any of its smartphones. However, they've issued details of what smartphones will be upgraded to the latest version of Android and when.
The first smartphones to be updated will be the Sony Xperia T (pictured above), Xperia TX and the Xperia V. These smartphones are now shipping worldwide and will be updated in the middle of the 1st quarter of next year. It was already disappointing that they didn't ship with Jelly Bean and its even worse news that it'll be a few months before they get upgraded.
After that the Xperia S, Xperia acro S, Xperia ion, Xperia P, Xperia go and Xperia J will be updated to Android Jelly Bean. Sadly, Sony didn't give any precise details on when the update will become available , but we assume it'll be towards the end of the 1st quarter of 2013.
The bad news for anyone with a 2011 Xperia smartphone is that they won't be getting upgraded to Android Jelly Bean. Sony claimed that the update wouldn't guarantee owners of the smartphone the experience they demand, so they'll have to be content with Ice Cream Sandwich.
As soon as 3G get any more details on Sony releasing Android Jelly Bean on its smartphones you'll be the first to know !
