Three have now become the first network to make Android Jelly Bean available for the Samsung Galaxy SIII.
Owners of the smartphone on Three should get an update notification which will enable them to download and install the update. As always you should backup your settings and data first and download the update over WiFi unless your one of the lucky ones with unlimited mobile data.
Android Jelly Bean will bring a number of key improvements to the Galaxy S3 including the "Google Now" voice assistant which is Google's equivalent to Siri. Additionally, the notification bar now supports actions , while the home-screen widget management has been significantly improved.
The whole operating system is faster and more reliable than ever before, while the on-screen keyboard has also been significantly improved. The Photo Album is also faster than ever thanks to the Jelly Bean update and scrolling through albums has never been easier thanks to swipe gesture support.
Those with the Galaxy SIII on other UK operators should see update released in the next couple of weeks. Although, it all depends how long the operator takes to put the update through testing and we'll let you know when we hear more.
