Office 2013 Launching Across Multiple Platforms In March ?

Microsoft announced that it released Office 2013 to manufacturers yesterday which will later go on to launch in the 1st quarter of next year. Those who buy a Windows RT device will get a preview of the software pre-loaded on their tablet to enjoy !


We've now heard that Microsoft will be releasing their Office 2013 software on Windows Phone, Windows RT, Mac OS, Android, iOS and Symbian. The information was released by Microsoft's Czech Republic Product Manager Petr Bobek at a press event.


A cross platform version of Office 2013 because it means that owners of smartphones and tablets will be able to access and edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint files regardless of the device they own. Symbian's inclusion is also a welcome surprise and is great news for owners of Nokia's N9 , as well as the rest of Nokia's Symbian range !


At the same time it was also revealed that Office 2013 would go on to launch at the end of February, while Office 365 and the mobile versions would launch in March. Microsoft have since replied to the leak claiming it isn't accurate, but the information is out there and it's come from sources inside the company.
