HTC have confirmed that both the HTC One X and the HTC One S (pictured above) will be getting upgraded to Android Jelly Bean this month. That's all the details HTC have made available at this time, but we expect the updates to be rolled out over-the-air towards the end of the month.
Both smartphones will benefit greatly from the update to the latest version of Android with standout changes including better home-screen widget management, support for actions in the notification screen and improvements in the overall responsiveness of the operating system.
Additionally, both smartphones will get HTC Sense 4+ when they get updated to Android Jelly Bean. HTC Sense is HTC's own custom user-interface with the latest version bringing back the home-screen carousel feature , as well as UI animations.
HTC unveiled the HTC One X+, which is the successor to the HTC One X earlier today and it comes pre-loaded with Jelly Bean. After the update to Jelly Bean lands for the One X the only difference between the smartphones will be that the One X+ has a slightly faster processor, larger battery and an improved front-facing camera.
As soon as the folks at 3G hear more about the Android Jelly Bean update for the One X or One S you'll be the first to know.
