The Telegraph reported the information which came straight from the retailers mouth who added that “Looking at the sales of the Google Nexus tablet, it’s clear that there is a massive demand amongst our customer base for smaller tablets”.
Google's Nexus 7 offers amazing value and has quickly become the favourite tablet in 3G's office. Initially, we were quite skeptical about smaller 7 inch tablets , but we've grown to love the compact size which is far easier to hold than a fully fledged tablet.
We still find it amazing that you can get a quad-core Android Jelly Bean tablet for £159 and can see it being a huge seller over the Christmas period. The 64GB version is also expected to become available very soon and rumours suggest it could even replace the 32GB version and be priced identically (£199).
Google already have a major competitor in Amazon's Kindle Fire and Apple are expected to unveil their iPad Mini any day now. So things will get tougher, but Google's device is such a pleasure to use and offers such great value that 3G expects its success to continue.
