Yesterday EE launched 4G in the UK and they already have a number of 4G smartphones available on their network. However, they are also proving 4G mobile broadband and MiFi which are both available to buy from their stores.
The price of the mobile broadband, which uses EE's 4G LTE network wherever possible, starts at £15.99 a month which gets you 2GB of data per month. The contract lasts for 18 months and you will have to pay £49.99 up-front for the Huawei E392 4G dongle (pictured above).
Those looking for a bit more data might be interested in the £20.99 a month which gets you 3GB of data per month. The up-front fee for the dongle dropping to £29.99. While, data hungry users might want to consider the top tariff which comes with 5GB of 4G data per month and costs £25.99. It's the only tariff where you get 4G dongle free.
The MiFi tariffs are priced identically to the mobile broadband deals with the only difference being that you get a Huawei E589 MiFi device instead of a dongle. For those who've never come across MiFi before it enables you to share a single mobile broadband connection with up to five devices over a WiFi network.
Our first impressions of EE's 4G deals are that they are more reasonably priced than their 4G mobile tariffs. However, we still think there is potential for the price to drop significantly when the other operators start offering 4G LTE in the UK.
