Apple have now sent out invites to a press event taking place in California on October 23rd where they are expected to unveil the iPad Mini.
The invite, which can be viewed above, comes with the accompanying teaser “We’ve got a little more to show you” which is the all the confirmation we need to confirm that it'll be the iPad Mini being showcased at the event.
No official information about the iPad Mini has surfaced, but it's expected to have a 7.85 inch touch-screen display. The specification will be lower than the full iPad in order to keep down costs so that the tablet can compete with Amazon's Kindle Fire and Google's Nexus 7.
Earlier in the month a price-list for the iPad Mini was leaked by German website Mobilegeeks which suggested that the lowest priced iPad Mini 8GB (WiFi only) would be priced at £199. While, prices would then go up £100 for the 3G models and a further £100 for each memory iteration (16,32 and 64GB).
The price of the lowest model seems pretty competitive with the Google Nexus 7 8GB costing £159, but the highest priced 64GB iPad Mini will come in at a whopping £520 which is more than the 16GB New iPad.
We'll just have to wait until next Tuesday to find out if this information is accurate and 3G will be reporting on all the details on the iPad Mini as soon as its unveiled.
