Vodafone unveiled their iPhone 4S prices last week and were amongst the first operators to do so. 

However, after Three and Orange had unveiled their prices it became apparent that Vodafone's up-front costs for the mobile were significantly higher than its rival operators. Infact, we recommended you only went with Vodafone if you were taking out the most expensive tariffs because they were over-priced on lower tariffs.

That has now all changed because Vodafone have announced they are reducing the cost of the iPhone 4S on their network. On average the up-front fee has reduced around £50 , with the maximum reduction coming in at £120 on the lowest priced 16GB deal.

The new pricing puts Vodafone in a very competitive position and we assume they've taken this action due to lower than expected iPhone 4S pre-orders on their network.
