Nokia Showcases Kinetic Bendable Smartphone
Nokia have showcased a new concept phone phone at Nokia World, which is currently taking place in London.
The new phone has a rather unique feature because its bendable , which makes us nervous that we might snap it.
The Nokia Kinetic smartphone uses bending and twisting as a unique user-interface. For example, by bending the device a certain way you can zoom on a web-page or navigate through a list.
One benefit of the bending interface is that its suitable to be used where touch-screens are awkward, such as wearing gloves in the snow. Furthermore, you can use the display without hindering the view which could make it a nice alternative for gaming.
Nokia Kinetic devices are unlikely to hit the market any time soon and may not ever appear at all. However, 3G is always interested in pioneering technology and welcomes it with open arms.
