Hotmail have announced the launch of a new application for Android smartphones.
This is the first time a Hotmail application has been made available on Android and it has all the features you'd expect from an email client.
The Hotmail App supports push email so you never get delayed while waiting for messages on your mobile, while you can also add multiple accounts. You can also send and receive attachments , as well as send pictures from your phone over Hotmail.
Another neat feature is that your Hotmail contacts will be synced with your Android contacts and the calendar will also be incorporated.
Microsoft are keen to get Hotmail on as many devices as possible and the introduction of Android is certainly going to help them achieve their goals. Furthermore, Hotmail support is expected to be included naively in the new version of Apple's iOS.
You can download the Hotmail Android App from the Android Marketplace here.
