Blackberry and Porsche have officially unveiled the Blackberry Porsche Design P'9981 luxury smartphone. Images of the new mobile leaked earlier this month and we have to say its a stunning design, but some people seem to dislike the styling.
One thing you can't argue with is the quality of the mobile which has a forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover, sculpted QWERTY keyboard and a crystal clear touch display.
Luxury smartphones have a history of featuring a below-par specification, but the Porsche Design P'9981 doesn't follow the trend.
Powering the Blackberry Porsche Design P'9981 is a 1.2 Ghz processor and 768MB of RAM, while it also has 8GB of onboard memory for storing all your photos, videos and data. It has both a 2.8 inch touch-screen and a full QWERTY keyboard making texting and emailing a breeze. A 5 mega-pixel camera can take all your photos as well as 720p HD video.
The Blackberry Porsche smartphone runs on Blackberry OS 7, so it supports all the latest in mobile technology including NFC.
With the mobile you also get a Porsche version of Wikitude's World Browser which enables you to search for restaurants, landmarks, theatres and much more around the world. Furthermore, you also get a unique PIN which identifies you as an owner of the limited edition Porsche mobile.
The Blackberry Porsche Design P'9981 is due to launch later this year, but we don't have a release date or price yet. As soon as 3G hear anymore about the Porsche mobile we'll let you know !
